The Hull Mine

fluorescent minerals The Hull mine is a true natural wonder! The fluorescing mineral walls, containing as many as ten stunning colors, are simply amazing under short and mid-wave ultra-violet light. This historical setting is in an 1880's working in the old Arizona Railroad Mine in a massive stope at the 100ft vertical level wherearizona natural wonder a consistent 80 to 85 degree temperature making it quite pleasant year round.

It is a 600 ft. journey down a cemented incline to reach the 100 ft. vertical level where the intersection of drifts lead to multiple scenes. There is a nice exposed silver galena vein, crystal formations, and forgotten mining artifacts to see. An underground blacksmith shop, wagon, fluorite crystals, and miners' tools reveal an impressive mine that once produced huge amounts of ore..

Then we get to the fluorescent chamber which is a one-of-a-kind unbelievable room of natural wonder color and unending brilliance! It gives one the feeling of...WOW! I've never seen anything that beautiful! Everywhere you look you see different crystal formations throwing volcano like hues, rainbow arches and mixed brilliant colors. The kaleidoscope of fluorescence overwhelms the senses making one pause to meditate and reflect on the spectacle … One of the world's most unique natural wonders.
